This tree last flowered in 2011 and it's now flowering again for just the second time in the history of Gardens by the Bay! These Australian grass trees (Xanthorrhoea glauca) absolutely dominate the entrance to our Australian Garden. Their impressive, spear-like flowering spikes grow up to 4m long and the tiny white flowers produce copious amounts of nectar that would attract pollinators like bees and honeyeaters in its native range in Queensland and New South Wales.
