Native: Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Thailand.
Rhododendron arboreum is the National flower of Nepal; in India it is the state tree of Uttarakhand and state flower of Himachal Pradesh and Nagaland.
