MRT Raffles (EW14/NS26) Exit B walks across the Golden Shoe Car Park to Philip Street

Operating Hours: Daily: 8am - 5pm/ 1st and 15th of lunar month: 7am – 5pm

 

Covering a total floor area of 1440 square meters, the Yueh Hai Ching Temple was divided into two temples, each with its own entrance. 

The right temple is dedicated to Xuan Tian Shang Di 玄天上帝, otherwise known as Duo Lau Yah. 

The left temple is dedicated to Tian Hou Sheng Mu 天后聖母, otherwise known as Ma Zu 妈祖.

The temple was presented with an imperial plaque from Emperor Guangxu in 1899. Yueh Hai Ching Temple is one of the only two temples in Singapore being given this honour. The signboard which reads “Auspicious Clouds above the Sea at Dawn 曙海祥云”, is now hung at the Mazu temple.
