The Jinrikisha Station was designed by municipal engineer Samuel Tomlinson and municipal architect David McLeod Craik. Construction began in 1903 serve as registration and inspection of rickshaws right up to World War II.. The word 'Jinricksha' is Japanese and it means ' Man Powered Carriage' which are actually rickshaws. Subsequently sold to Hong Kong movie star Jackie Chan in 2007.
